Sunday, December 19:  Advent IV ~ Love

Suddenly the heavens are alive with music, song, and voices.  The streets of Bethlehem also are filled with noise, people, and animals.  Where have all these people come from and where are they going?  Do they really know what is coming?  Do any of us know?  What will happen in Bethlehem this year, every year, will change everything again!  Oh, how we want to open our hearts to the promise of God, embracing the promise of love, the promise of joy, the promise of peace, but it is hard.  We are not quite there yet in that magical, mystical place.  We are searching but it is hard to experience.  And yet we come. We come to worship with seeking, searching hearts.

Thank You

The Outreach/FEUC committee would like to thank the congregation for their generous contributions to the Christmas projects.  We were able to deliver a great selection of cold weather accessories to the Salvation Army.  The funds raised from the ‘turkey drive’ were distributed to the Essex Food Bank and Salvation Army to help offset the costs of their Christmas food hampers.
