Sunday, November 21:  Reign of Christ

You are the source of all things.  You are the beginning and end.  You are the great “I am.”  And we are blessed in knowing you, God of all things.  We ask for your help.  Help us.  We ask for your wisdom.  Guide us.  We ask for your compassion.  Love us.  So that we might be compassionate and wise as we help in your world.  May it be this way, by your grace, Loving God.  Amen.

Richard Bott, Vancouver, B.C.

Notes:

The church has had a couple of crazy weeks.  Our internet and phone systems were down due to a storm!  We are finally up and running!

Mitten Tree

We are collecting mitts, hats, scarves, socks, etc. for the Salvation Army. They welcome items for all ages with a particular need for heavier weight men’s gloves.  A box is in the narthex. Closing date for donations is Sun Dec 5th.

Turkey Drive

We’re requesting monetary donations to help the Essex Food Bank and the Salvation Army offset the costs of their Christmas food baskets. If you choose to donate there are several ways you can do so – by marking Turkey on your givings envelope, use the envelopes provided by the collection plate, do an etransfer or drop a payment at the church office. Closing date is Sun Dec 5th.

We are in need of children’s books for the library

and the Book Bin.  Any books you may able to

donate can be left at the church during office hours.  Thanks!
